Guatemala's 2014 Presidential Challenge Shatters Old Records

The Annual Presidential Challenge sportfishing tournament out of the Port of San Jose Guatemala blew away all previous records with spectacular near shore billfish action.  With only 12 boats fishing 849 billfish were released, 845 sailfish and 4 blue marlin!  This topped the previous record of 676 set in 2010 which itself was quite impressive. Overall the average was 71 billfish releases per team or 23.6 per day or the 3-day tournament.  Guatemala is the best destination for sail fishing hands down.
