Guatemala Sportfishing | Sailfish | Marlin | Charter | Lodge

Sail fish (pez vela) Y marlin fishing has been good near Marina Pez Vela, Iztapa Guatemala and the Port of San Jose.  The past couple of days the charter boats are reporting good number of releases of 12-16 pez vela per boat.  There are only few boats fishing now though as it is a common vacation time for many of the charter boat captains and crews.   I can only imagine how many sailfish and marlin we be reported if there were a large number of boats fishing for sailfish and marlin to help locate the bite more quickly.  The charter boats that are fishing are not having to run very far offshore to catch these numbers of big game fish.    Funny how a fair day of 12-16 sailfish releases per boat per day would be a spectacular day in Costa Rica.    Sorry Quepos and Los Suenos, but Guatemala really rocks the sportfishing world.  The fishing here is really World Class sportfishing.
